Besides leaving a natural look on the skin, using self-tanner is very practical and fast. The day before applying the product, gently exfoliate your skin to remove dead cells and ensure that the skin is even and clean. Focus mainly on the areas that tend to be thicker, you know? Like elbows, knees, ankles, and feet.

Be sure your body is clean and dry before you apply the self-tanner, so you avoid wet parts becoming uneven and blotchy.

It is essential to wear gloves when applying and spreading the product, so you do not risk getting unwanted stains on your hands. Avoid accumulating product on your skin, as this can also cause blotchiness . Spread everything very well, until the entire body is evenly coated.

Follow the directions on the package, then wait for the self-tanner to dry completely on the skin before getting dressed. To avoid staining your clothes with skin friction, avoid clothes that are too tight at this point.

Don’t forget to keep your skin moisturized for the next few days after applying self-tanner, as this makes the tan last longer on the skin. This is because the moisturizer slows flaking.

If you do get a few days of sun, never/ever forget to always apply sunscreen, which besides being indispensable at any time of the year, also protects the skin from peeling and from UVA/UVB rays.
