CASA DOS ARANDIS TO ENJOY THE BEST OF BAHIA
Nestled in a coconut grove, facing one of the most beautiful beaches in southern Bahia, a few steps from the town of Algodões is the Casa dos Arandis boutique hotel. A luxury retreat with just 4 impeccable bungalows on the mystical Maraú Peninsula, where Paralelo 14 runs.
For it is said that the places crossed by this line have special energy, just like Machu Picchu and Alto Paraíso. Can you feel the magic in the air? At the entrance of each bungalow at Casa dos Arandis there is a ceramic pot with crystals to harmonize the energy of the environment. With it, a purification ritual can be performed by placing filtered water in the container containing the crystals to be drunk the next morning.
In fact, the sunrises are worth living through. Early in the morning, the sun fills the beach with orange tones that are reflected in a large mirror formed by the wet sand while surfers look for the best waves of the day. In the weeks of full and new moon, when the tide is low, natural pools form almost in front of Casa dos Arandis. It’s worth surfing, snorkeling, biking along the beach, or just taking a leisurely walk. And then, enjoy the hotel’s breakfast, which is phenomenal.
The Peninsula of Maraú has almost 40 kilometers of semi-desert beaches, mangroves, waterfalls, rivers and freshwater lagoons that form a beautiful frame for the rustic yet elegant bungalows of Casa dos Arandis. Each of them is named after a color. Space is not lacking. The bungalows have 100 square meters of good taste and a suspended veranda that invites you to “dolce far niente”. It is worth remembering that Casa dos Arandis belongs to the select Circuito Elegante group, which received the Condé Nast Award Winner three times and was acclaimed with TripAdvisor’s Traveller’s Choice, also in 2021.
While on the Maraú Peninsula, include in your itinerary a visit to Santa Rita do Paty Farm where Amélia and Afonso Orleans and Bragança receive visitors to discover cocoa and rubber plantations and the beautiful tropical flowers that are picked from there to decorate many hotels and weddings celebrated in the region.
Also take a boat trip through Camamu Bay and go to the Cachoeira do Tremembé where the waterfalls flow into the bay. Perfect for washing the soul.
Keep these precious tips in mind. Casa dos Arandis, in the Maraú Peninsula, is a beautiful refuge for this moment we are living.
XoXo, take care and see you next week.
