Under-Eye Patches—What Are They Used For?

Thanks to Instagram, under-eye patches have become synonymous with self-care and beauty routines. And as cute as they look in the feed, you might be sitting there wondering what they’re actually used for. Under-eye patches can help target and reduce puffiness that some experience after waking in the morning. This puffiness can be caused by a myriad of things—from too much wine or salt to dry sleeping conditions to poor sleep and even heavy eye creams (yes, you can have too much of a good thing). The application of an under-eye patch containing the right active ingredients can help de-puff and fill in fine lines. These aren’t intended to be used everyday, though, just on mornings you wake up feeling especially swollen.

The active ingredients to look for in an effective under-eye patch can range, but caffeine, collagen, stem cells, amino acids, and/or vitamin C are usually found in quality products.

These ingredients work together to smooth fine lines, hydrate, firm, reduce puffiness, and even improve the look of dark circles. Below are some of the brands offering under-eye patches that target a multitude of skin issues to help address all of your concerns.
